Client files, including Contracts and Artifacts, are secured in a central database managed by The BEAST (Beast.Industries’ Expedited Agreement Servicing Technology.) Beast.City is a new interface for submitting Artifacts and accessing client data.
After submission, the client receives a report, depending on program type. For example, Graduated Bonded clients receive an update of which Preliminary Artifact requirements have been met.
The Beast.City interface is built around four key principles:
- Functionality
- Ergonomics
- Simplicity
- Security
While the interface is relatively simple in appearance, it contains a significant amount of functionality. It can give clients instant access to virtually every piece of information contained in The BEAST.
The primary overall design consideration is ergonomics, particularly with regard to repetitive tasks like Artifact submission. The goal is for tasks to take the absolute fewest amount of “clicks” to complete, while still maintaining full security and functionality.
The internal structure of The BEAST is relatively complicated, and is split into several different database modules for Income Generating Machines, Artifacts, Contracts, Applications, Payment Records, Assignments, System Logs, and Location Logs. Beast.City greatly simplifies this by giving clients access to only certain individual data points.
As with everything else at Beast.Industries, my primary overall concern is security. Beast.City relies on simple yet highly secure email verification, and for customized access, a password is required of the client.

A password is required, which is securely sent at initial registration time. Password Reset Requests may be made at Beast.City/reset. This customized setup is required for submitting “on-contract” Installment Payment Artifacts, which are attached to specific Installment Payment Records.
Clients who do not have a customized portal may submit Client File Artifacts “off-Contract,” by typing their BFI Property ID Number after Beast.City/. For example:
