What are the differences between the standard and the expedited contracting programs?

The standard programs are available through a three-step process, where the first step may only happen during the brief monthly window when the Public Contract Portal is open. The remainder of the process follows a timeline determined by the program type and the preferences of the applicant. Most successful applicants complete the process in 2-3 weeks. There is never a processing fee or application fee, except that new clients are required to pay $1.00 to verify identity.

The expedited programs follow a single-step process, where the Contract is automatically generated and sent immediately after the Application is completed and the processing fee is paid. Limited options are available.
